This 1‑day course (Part 3 of the patient journey series) brings together three skills that elevate aesthetic and restorative workflows: clinical photography, smile design, and tooth whitening. On-the-day hands-on photography

• Live demo and guided exercises to capture:

• Photo editing and practical storage workflows
• Key compliance considerations: GDPR and ICO registration

Shade matching & lab communication

• Understanding and selecting hue, value and chroma
• Using shade tabs effectively
• Standardising lighting for consistency
• Where polarising filters and diffusers fit in
• Writing clearer laboratory instructions supported by photography

Smile design (conventional to digital)

• Conventional smile design techniques
• Digital smile design using PowerPoint and Keynote
• Smile design with intraoral scanners
• Integrating intraoral scans, photographs and CBCT scans

Whitening foundations

• Consent forms and key documentation
