Delivering porcelain veneers predictably starts long before the bur touches enamel. This intensive one-day, in-person course is designed to help you bring smile design, minimal-prep principles and practical veneer workflows together—so you can plan confidently, prepare conservatively and cement with greater control.

Led by Dr David Bloom (Past President, British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry; Editorial Board, International Journal of Cosmetic Dentistry; Fellow, International Academy of Dental Facial Aesthetics), the day blends clear clinical principles with hands-on application.

What you’ll cover

• Smile design principles and how to apply them for a complete, structured diagnosis
• Translating the plan into composite mock-ups and a diagnostic wax-up
• Types and uses of diagnostic wax-ups, including the trial smile / visual diagnostic try-in
• Using the trial smile to guide minimal tooth preparation
• An overview of clinical photography and veneer cementation
• An overview of cosmetic orthodontics and edge bonding in aesthetic case planning

Hands-on training (practical workflows)

You’ll practise key steps that support predictable veneer outcomes, including:

• Veneer preparation using different preparation designs
• Additive wax-ups and mock try-in
• Temporisation and bonding
