• Diagnosis and case planning, including non‑odontogenic pain considerations
• Endodontic anatomy and access strategies
• Radiographic interpretation and discussion of CBCT in endodontic practice
• Cleaning and shaping fundamentals: hand instrumentation (including balanced force concepts), rotary and reciprocation approaches, and glide path management
• Working length and apical considerations (including apex locator principles)
• Irrigation protocols and activation concepts (emphasising that irrigation does the cleaning)
• Obturation techniques: comparing single‑cone approaches with thermal/heated obturation systems, plus sealer handling
• Re‑treatment strategy and dismantling obturated canals
• Managing complications: retrieval of separated instruments, managing ledges, repairing perforations, and removal of posts/fractured files using appropriate equipment (including magnification principles)
• Restoration of endodontically treated teeth: coronal seal, temporisation, and planning the restoration early
• Trauma and resorption (including practical use of contemporary materials for repairs)
• Medico‑legal and consent considerations—what “proper consent” looks like and how to manage cases when things don’t go to plan
